When you look good, you feel good, and thanks to The Shine Project, you can also Do good!
I was in Cape Cod recently for one of my closest friend’s fairy tale wedding and had the amazing opportunity to explore a really cute town called Harwich. My boyfriend, Chase, and I went on a gorgeous stroll through town and found the cutest ice cream shop called Sundae School. I had wet hair and wore minimal make up, but I remember thinking how grateful we were to be in such a nice vacation spot surrounded by good friends. I was also inspired because of the beautiful jewelry I was wearing by the amazing company called The Shine Project.
I had heard about The Shine Project on Instagram and fell in love with the company’s story and purpose. The Shine Project wants you to live the highest quality of life obtainable, and to motivate you to join our efforts in making this world a better place.
Amazing right! It all started because of Ashley LeMieux’s. Her passion was to create a nonprofit organization that would help send at risk youth to college. She employs youth to make these beautiful necklaces and bracelets and in return they are able to pay their way though school. They come from various backgrounds, but all have one thing in common, they want to break the cycle. Here is a small glimpse into the lives of a few students The Shine Project has helped. It brought tears to my eyes.
Over 40 scholarships have been given since 2011, and 100% of donations given to the non-profit go directly to the students. Threads by The Shine Project currently employees 11 inner city students.
Ashley wanted a product that people could wear as a daily reminder that they directly impacted someone’s life, and created a positive change. I loved how cute and simple the jewelry looked on, and even though I quickly got ready for our little outing, I still felt dressed up and beautiful because I was reminded that this necklace & bracelet helped a brave soul named Itzel get one step closer to living out her dream. I was so happy to support such a great cause because I love spreading happiness and giving back.
When was the last time you went out of your way, to help someone? Wearing this jewelry reminds you to …. Live to Give!
